Neftaly Housing Advocacy
Empowering Communities Through Safe and Affordable Housing
At Neftaly, we believe that access to safe, secure, and affordable housing is a fundamental human right. Our Housing Advocacy Program is committed to creating lasting change by addressing systemic inequalities in housing, empowering individuals with knowledge, and influencing policies that support equitable living conditions for all.
Our Mission
To advocate for housing justice by supporting vulnerable communities, challenging unjust housing practices, and promoting inclusive policies that ensure everyone has a place to call home.
What We Do
???? Tenant Rights Education
We provide workshops, toolkits, and one-on-one support to help tenants understand their legal rights, navigate landlord-tenant disputes, and avoid unjust evictions.
???? Housing Navigation Support
Neftaly connects individuals and families to available housing resources, including shelters, transitional housing, and affordable housing options in their area.
⚖️ Policy Advocacy
We work with local and national partners to promote laws and policies that protect renters, prevent homelessness, and increase the availability of affordable housing.
???? Community Engagement
Neftaly organizes forums, listening sessions, and grassroots campaigns that center the voices of those most affected by housing insecurity.
????️ Support for the Displaced
We offer support for people facing eviction, displacement due to development, or homelessness—providing referrals, legal aid access, and social services.
Why It Matters
- 1 in 3 people in many communities live in unaffordable or inadequate housing.
- Eviction rates continue to rise post-pandemic, disproportionately impacting low-income households.
- Systemic barriers prevent many marginalized groups from accessing fair housing opportunities.
Neftaly is committed to breaking these barriers and creating a housing system where dignity, equity, and justice prevail.
