Neftaly Health and Migration

At Neftaly, we understand that migration—whether voluntary or forced—presents unique challenges to health and well-being. Migrants often face complex barriers including limited access to healthcare, language and cultural differences, legal uncertainties, and the trauma of displacement. Neftaly Health and Migration aims to bridge these gaps by promoting inclusive, culturally sensitive, and rights-based health solutions for migrant populations.

Our approach includes:

1. Health Access and Equity

We advocate for universal access to healthcare services regardless of immigration status. Neftaly works with local clinics, governments, and international organizations to ensure that migrants receive basic health services, including immunizations, maternal care, and treatment for chronic illnesses.

2. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

Migrants are often exposed to stress, grief, and trauma before, during, and after migration. Neftaly provides trauma-informed mental health programs, support groups, and counseling services tailored to diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

3. Health Education and Outreach

Through mobile clinics, digital platforms, and community workshops, we offer health education on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, and communicable disease prevention. Neftaly trains community health workers and peer educators from migrant communities to extend our reach and build trust.

4. Policy Advocacy and Legal Support

Neftaly engages with policymakers to ensure that migrant health is prioritized in national and regional health strategies. We also collaborate with legal aid services to support migrants navigating healthcare systems and legal rights related to health access.

5. Collaboration and Capacity Building

We partner with NGOs, government agencies, academic institutions, and migrant-led organizations to share knowledge and best practices. Neftaly builds the capacity of frontline workers to respond effectively and compassionately to the health needs of migrant populations.
