Neftaly’s Commitment to Reducing Tuberculosis Morbidity and Mortality in Line with Global Goals
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health challenge, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. In alignment with the objectives of the Stop TB Partnership and the broader framework of the Millennium Development Goals, Neftaly is committed to contributing to the reduction of TB-related morbidity and mortality through inclusive, evidence-based, and community-centered interventions.
Our Mission:
To support global and national efforts aimed at ending the TB epidemic by expanding access to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment—especially among vulnerable and high-risk populations.
Our Key Areas of Focus:
- Community Engagement and Awareness: Neftaly promotes TB education and awareness to reduce stigma, increase early health-seeking behavior, and improve understanding of prevention and treatment.
- Early Detection and Diagnosis: We support active case finding and mobile TB screening, particularly in underserved communities, to ensure early diagnosis and prompt initiation of treatment.
- Improving Treatment Access and Adherence: Through community health worker programs, patient follow-up, and adherence support tools, Neftaly helps individuals complete their full course of treatment and avoid complications or resistance.
- Capacity Strengthening: We train healthcare providers, community leaders, and volunteers to improve TB case management, surveillance, and community outreach.
- Policy and Partnership Support: Neftaly advocates for increased political commitment, domestic resource mobilization, and integration of TB services into national health systems—aligned with the targets set by the Stop TB Partnership and the MDGs.
