Neftaly Phishing Awareness
Stay Alert. Stay Safe. Stay Neftaly Smart.
At Neftaly, cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility. One of the most common and dangerous threats to any organization is phishing — a form of cyberattack where fraudsters trick you into giving away sensitive information like passwords, financial details, or company secrets.
What is Phishing?
Phishing is when an attacker poses as a trusted source — like your manager, IT team, or a familiar service provider — and tries to get you to:
- Click on malicious links
- Download infected attachments
- Share confidential information
These attacks usually come through email, but they can also happen via SMS (smishing), phone calls (vishing), or even social media.
Common Signs of a Phishing Attack
???? Urgency or fear tactics: “Your account will be deactivated!”
???? Suspicious email addresses or URLs: Slight misspellings or extra characters
???? Unexpected attachments or links: Especially ZIP, EXE, or DOC files
???? Requests for sensitive information: No legitimate company will ask you for passwords via email
Neftaly’s 5-Second Phishing Check
Before you click, ask yourself:
- Do I know the sender?
- Was I expecting this message?
- Are there spelling or grammar errors?
- Does the URL match the real company site?
- Is the request unusual or urgent?
If in doubt, don’t click. Report it.
What To Do If You Suspect a Phishing Email
